Tony Goldwyn, Maria Shriver, Isha Sesay, RJ Mitte Named Honorees for 2019 Television Industry Advocacy Awards
The Television Industry Advocacy Awards will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd at the TCL Chinese Theater and will honor Tony Goldwyn, Maria Shriver, Isha Sesay, and RJ Mitte along with special guest speaker Rachel Pittman of the United Nations Association.
- (1888PressRelease) October 22, 2019 - LOS ANGELES, CA – Advocacy Honors announced today that Tony Goldwyn (Scandal) Maria Shriver (American journalist) Isha Sesay (CNN) and RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad) are the honorees at the Fifth Annual Television Industry Advocacy Awards presented by TCL North America and hosted by Lu Parker (KTLA) . The evening will be held Wednesday, October 23rd at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Presenters include Minnie Driver, Loni Love, Liz Hernandez and Kathy Eldon.
The event honors leaders in the television industry who effectively use their voice for social cause. With the UN General Assembly recently concluding its annual meeting in New York, focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals is inspiring global dialogue. Opening remarks from UNA Executive Director Rachel Pittman will ignite an inspirational evening of conversation about how the television industry can use their collective platform to advocate for awareness and to effect change.
