TONTINES IN AR: Outlawed since the 18th century it is now Back
Tontines is now available in agmented reality. Once it was outlawed, but now available for the first time to the public through Kickstarter. Tontines make full use of AR to immerse you into a game of life or death against your friends and family, whether set in your neighborhood or at your local park.

Historically, a tontine (ton-TEEN) is a group investment tool with roots dating back to 17th century France that has long been considered the most powerful tool ever created. Imagine you have a group annuity that increases in value, not due to market forces, but your survival alone. In this annuity, you can also increase it’s value by “weeding out” the other members of the group. In essence, this annuity is interactive on a whole new, and basic level.
Tontines operate on the law of survival. The payout increases as the member population thin out. Nobody inherits. The French government outlawed Tontines because of an alarming increase in deaths around the time the tontine matured and payouts began. Members of the tontine literally"disposed" of other members for financial gain. Not exactly unheard of today. Other countries tried tontines as well, and when the same problem was discovered, they closed all of their tontines for good.
The executives at Tontines, Inc. think tontines are too good of a financial tool to go to waste. So, they figured out how to bring it back and have protected its intellectual property. To get things going, Tontines, Inc. made available to beta users a Kickstarter that offers a special bundle, including a virtual 9mm pistol, a box of 9mm ammo, and a unit of health, should a player want to use weapons in his or her survival strategy.
In the mobile app, players are encouraged to hide, run, and do whatever means necessary to survive in this new AR mobile strategy adventure. Tontines require supplies to continue playing. These supplies will be available around local businesses to pick up for free and increase your chances of survival.
Tontines will be launching in iTunes within this month. In the meantime, staying connected via the Kickstarter, email list, and socials are the best ways to receive updates about the launch of the mobile game.
