- (1888PressRelease) July 10, 2010 - Tucson, Arizona - Tom Whetten Photography announces its twelve-day Africa Photo Safari to Kenya and Tanzania to photograph Lions, Elephants, Cape Buffalo, and most likely Leopard and Black Rhinoceros. In addition to the "Big Five" game animals, the safari will provide exciting photo opportunities for many other African wildlife species, such as Zebra, Wildebeest, Hyenas, many exotic Birds, and more. This safari will focus on several locations along the route of the "Great Migration," from the Southern Serengeti Plains to the Masai Mara. It will start in Nairobi on February 1, 2011.
Tom Whetten Photography leads wildlife and nature photography tours throughout the USA, Mexico, and Africa. Tom takes his clients to all the best places to capture nature and wildlife scenes. Some of the more popular tours are the Africa Photo Safari, the photo tour in Texas for Whooping Cranes, and a red-rock safari in Northern Arizona and Utah shooting red rocks and slot canyons. Tom's many years working for the Arizona Game and Fish Department gave him the opportunity to gain a great knowledge of nature and wildlife in the Southwestern U.S. while exploring much of its back country. He has been an avid nature photographer since 1985, and besides leading his own photography workshops for Wildlife Photo Tour, he presents workshops and photo tours for three major nature and birding festivals in Arizona.
According to Tom Whetten, owner operator, "we had such a trip on our February 2010 Africa Safari, we're going back to do it again! We plan to enter The Ngorongoro Crater and visit areas such as The Serengeti, The Masai Mara, and other Wildlife Areas in Kenya and Tanzania." A complete itinerary can be viewed at Africa Photo Safari Itinerary
Tom explained that "the accommodations in Africa will be lodges similar to the Seronera Lodge in Tanzania and camps such as the newly opened Nasikia Luxury Camp." Luxury camps are complete with private restrooms and showers in each tent. "I love the luxury camps where we relax sitting around a camp fire enjoying the sights and sounds of Africa" Tom said.
Tom also pointed out that "most safaris crowd six to seven people into their tour vehicles, making things really crowded. I used to limit the number of clients to four so everyone has room to move around, but for this safari we're going to do even better by only having three so it will be even easier for everyone to capture the shots they're looking for."
This Africa Photo Safari is a real bargain priced at $4,995 without skimping on quality. Reserve your seat now before the price goes up after September 1, 2010. For more information or to view photos of the February 2010 or the 2009 photo safari to Africa visit http://www.wildlifephototour.com
