On Tuesday May 20, 2014, TMF Foods Ltd., CEO Lou Albanese will officially open the new 2,400 square foot state of the art culinary centre! Staffed by our Corporate Chef and the TMF Foods team of culinary experts, this expansion is the leading edge of products, equipment and knowledge to bring consistency, profitability and ahead-of-the-curve foods and ideas to our partners.
- (1888PressRelease) May 21, 2014 - Stoney Creek, Ontario - Located onsite at the office and plant location in Stoney Creek, Ontario this cutting edge culinary centre has become the showpiece of the company. The Culinary Centre including a wrap around bar that seats 14 guests overlooking the cooking area is a location that will help TMF Foods Ltd. build better relationships with our foodservice partners, to cater our products to their needs using equipment similar to what they have in their own restaurants.
The culinary centre is fully equipped with top of the line restaurant quality equipment including: Garland U.S. Range 30" high performance grill, Garland 36" high efficiency chrome flat top griddle, Delfield double door drop fridge/freezer/cooler, Frymaster double basket fryer, Garland 6 top stove with salamander and high efficiency conventional oven, Rational white efficiency 62G self cooking centre, Convotherm easy touch cooking centre, Halton ventilation system and a full Jackson high efficiency dishwashing room. This is the ultimate playground for any corporate chef or culinary enthusiast to develop, prepare and test new recipe/menu offerings.
In addition to the cooking equipment a state of the art apple computer tablet controlled audio/video/computer system was installed allowing for an interactive guest experience. This system includes three overhead cameras that focus on the cooking area that have the capability to be shown in real time on two 72" flat panel televisions and a nine-foot drop down screen. A video recording of events will be made available to guests after their time spent in the culinary centre to be used as a training tool or simply as a refresher on the products that were showcased.
The new Culinary Centre will also showcase our existing and up and coming new products and will help provide an understanding of who and what TMF Foods Ltd. capabilities are within the foodservice industry. Our newest product to be showcased to our foodservice partners is a smoked and shredded beef, ideal as a pizza topping, sandwich offering, taco filling, poutine topping, burger topping, breakfast hash and as a great alternative to pulled pork, shredded beef is the next great flavour profile for this category.
In addition to all the high-tech advancements, its dark hardwood floors, stone incased bar and serving station gives this facility a real upscale yet warm and comfortable café style feel. The Culinary Centre is also available to our partners to come and use on their own. This 2,400 square foot addition will comfortably accommodate up to 100 people and also has a smaller private meeting room ideal for breakout sessions.
