TJR Global Introduces the HUBZone Material Management Program
Today, TJR Procurement, LLC d/b/a TJR Global CAGE/NCAGE: 5E8P3 announced the implementation of the HUBZone Material Management Program for Prime and Sub-Prime Contractors to the US Government and Military.
- (1888PressRelease) January 10, 2014 - Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL - In an effort to continue support of Tier 1 Prime Contractors with Supplier Diversity spend quotas in the Defense, Security, and Communication areas, TJR Global has announced its HUBZone Material Management Program. The program supports TJR Global's customers by ensuring factory-direct, authentic material while helping the end-user to meet their Small Business Diversity goals.
"Not only does this program help government contracting officers reach diversity goals on Prime Contracts, but this will also provide a structure for internal supplier development programs on the 'front-end' when Prime Contractors approach the Federal Government with proposals," says Daniel Moran, Director of Government Sales at TJR Global. "TJR will be able to drive more business from Federal Contracting officers to manufacturers. This will ensure the highest level of quality on material purchased through the program while providing the most competitive pricing."
The HUBZone Material Management Program is designed to allow Federal contracting officers and buyers with purchases that would normally not be possible to qualify for supplier diversity credits. "We have run into situations where the manufacturer of a line of products initially will not sell directly to TJR as a matter of course, but once we are able to illustrate why the contracting officer wishes to buy through TJR and how we can drive more business to the manufacturer as an Authorized distributor, special purchasing arrangements and pricing almost always become available," Moran explains.
TJR's success with utilizing its HUBZone status has allowed the company to expand, creating new jobs within the company's logistics and sales departments. "That's the goal of the SBA HUBZone program," Moran says. "Improving the local community by offering value-added products to our customers is a win-win situation for everyone".
