Time Medical team, led by Prof. Q Y Ma, will receive the award with $21 million RMB Research &Development grant to further develop the key components of MRI and commercialize its patented HTS RF coil products over the next 3 years. Time Medical is the only company in the middle, northern Jiangsu region to receive this prestigious award.

Time Medical was founded by a group of Scientists from Columbia University, Harvard Medical School and the University of Hong Kong. Led by Prof. Q Y Ma, the R&D team pioneered the use of High-Temperature Superconducting (HTS) materials in MRI and is the first in the world to develop superconducting RF coil that overcome the imaging limit of conventional copper coils, and make possible an improvement in signal-to-noise ratio, which increases image quality significantly by 200%-500% without a commensurate increase in magnetic field strength.
