Timberspan Wood Products announces that is celebrating 10 years on July 23 of business providing Douglas Fir Timberspan, wood and custom sawmill orders throughout North America.
- (1888PressRelease) July 23, 2016 - Timberspan offers quality Douglas Fir timbers and lumber from the Northern Interior of British Columbia. Our timbers are used by commercial and residential builders throughout North America. We have experience as former log and timber builders to know what quality Douglas Fir products are required and desired.
Starting with a small portable saw mill as the former instructor of the Wood Technology Program in Prince George, Joe Cvenkel created a market for high quality Douglas Fir throughout North America. The mill now operates on 25 acres in Prince George providing custom cutting for customers.
Douglas Fir is one of the best products to be utilized in construction and is one of the strongest of all North American softwoods. We specialize in Northern Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir which is straight grained, tight growth rings, resilient and moderately hard. By allowing the product to air dry there is very little tendency to wrap, crack or bend and over time strengthens.
Our product is first growth trees that have a tighter ring growth than coastal Douglas Fir. With colder winters and long sunny summers, our products grow consistently over time as beautiful knot free wood.
We are located in Prince George, British Columbia Canada. We can ship (truck or train) to anywhere in North America. We are also located close to the Port of Prince Rupert on the Pacific Ocean for shipping to Asia, the Middle East and anywhere else Douglas Fir is needed.
