Tiger Eye Sensor Publishes Podcasts on Innovative Wearable Personal Security Device
Founder and President CJ Scarlet Discusses Technology, Company Origins, Shares Personal Story about Sexual Assault.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) November 13, 2014 - Tiger Eye Sensor, Inc., the leader in the hands-free, wearable, personal security device market, has published three podcasts on the origins of the company's innovative Tiger Eye Security Sensor (TESS).
Founder and President CJ Scarlet, subject of the audio interviews, provides listeners with information on the company origins, the technology behind TESS, and shares her personal story about surviving sexual assault that contributed to her conceptualizing Tiger Eye Sensor, Inc. and TESS.
"As a woman, I was tired of feeling afraid all the time, and as a criminal justice expert I was tired of dealing with crime after it occurred," Scarlet says in the podcast "Tiger Eye Origins" adding, "So I decided to do something to keep it from happening at all."
Scarlet goes on in the roughly three-minute interview to discuss the founding of her company and development of TESS, a small, hands-free, wearable personal security device that activates when the wearer calls out for help.
TESS was developed to help address the problem of violent crimes which occur every 26 seconds, with one of every three women being assaulted in their lifetime and many assaults going unreported due to a lack of evidence.
About the size of a quarter and the weight of a AAA battery, the mobile and user-friendly Tiger Eye Security Sensor helps stop and prevent attacks by connecting with a live operator who warns the perpetrator to leave the scene and summons police to the user's GPS location. At the same time, TESS illuminates the area and records events to help identify and prosecute an assailant through photographic images and audio recordings which are sent to the cloud.
In addition to "Tiger Eye Origins" the other two podcasts, "TESS Usability Concept" and "TESS Team Device Im.Powerment" delve deeper into the functionality and technology of the product in addition to showcasing the talented team of industry veterans behind TESS and outlining the company's Im.Powerment personal security campaign it is looking to unveil in the spring of 2015.

Before launching Tiger Eye Sensor, Inc. and developing TESS, Scarlet ran a child advocacy center for abused children and served as Director of Victims Issues for the NC Attorney General's Office, where she implemented the nation's first statewide victim notification system. This program was selected as a national model by the USDOJ.
She is a former U.S. Marine and holds a master's degree with an emphasis on Human Violence and is an expert on crime victim issues and technology.
