Thyratron is Expanding Functionality and Services
Thyratron is stepping up its quality assured electronics design and production services with a "Design for the Future" philosophy that future-proofs its products.

Faced with a fast moving 2012 that saw the company reach new markets in India and the East Thyratron has followed up its act with a performance overview of functionality services designed to take the electronics the company offers to an entirely new level.
"We are keenly aware of the current market needs," said company chairman, Andreas Filippakopoulos, in a recent interview "and we are looking to exceed them by looking at current trends and leapfrogging current needs."
Thyratron has established itself in the very competitive international market of OEM design by becoming a byword for reliability in quality assurance and supply line continuance. Having taken the decision to bypass sampling in their quality control procedures and replace it with 100% production batch checks, they ensured that when it came to reliability on the field the Thyratron components became the only natural choice.
"We back up our design decisions with hard data," explained Mr Filippakopoulos, "before we design an electronic component we carry out extensive studies of in-situ conditions and that allows us to gauge the exact operational parameters our products should work within."
The approach has paid off. In 2013 Thyratron is applying the same philosophy to a new range of products with extended functionalities. Under the "Design for the Future" philosophy the company has implemented in its Research & Development department every product the company manufactures undergoes a full "future use" work up to ensure that it is future-proofed.
The approach takes into account local market conditions, current performance requirements and the future needs of an ever evolving market. "We want Thyratron products to be upgradeable and provide lasting performance even within changing operational parameters," stressed Mr Filippakopoulos.
