After two seasons as an intra-company league, Three Stars Inc. is asking other local companies to enter teams and assist Central Florida charities.
Score for the Future became our endeavor to not only build a sense of community within our own corporation, but also give back to the local community.
Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) May 06, 2009 - Score for the Future, the coed, flag football league that raises money for local charities, is readying for its third season with kickoff slated for early June. The league was conceived by an Orlando company, Three Stars Inc., as a way to involve their staff in a teambuilding activity that also benefits the local community.
Initially run as an intra-company league open only to the staff of Three Stars Inc., the company is now asking other Central Florida businesses to enter teams in the flag football league and help raise money for local charities. There is no league entry fee; instead, each team is required to pledge at least five dollars for every point they score throughout the season.
During the previous season, Three Stars Inc., raised more than $2000 for the local chapter of the March of Dimes, an organization dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Three Stars Inc. is currently exploring partnership opportunities with other local charities to benefit from the upcoming summer season’s donations.
Games will be played at the Smith Center located at 1723 Bruton Blvd. in Orlando. Companies and teams interested in joining the Score for the Future flag football league should contact Keith Kress by e-mail at Keith ( @ ) threestarsinc dot com dot
