Thought Leader and HIM Expert Pamela J. Haney Joins Libman Education as Director of Education and Training

Haney, MS, RHIA, CCS, CPC-H, an experienced educator and AHIMA approved ICD-10 trainer with over thirty years of experience as a Health Information Management (HIM) Director, has joined Libman Education as Director of Education and Training.
By working with Libman Education, Haney joins a number of well-known HIM and coding experts, including Barry Libman, MS, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CCS-P, president of Libman Education; Mary Beth York, CCS, CCS-P, Libman Education's CCS course instructor; and Libman Education's course authors, including Lynn Kuehn, MS, RHIA, CCS-P, FAHIMA, and Gail I. Smith, MA, RHIA, CCS-P.

Haney previously worked as Director of Coding Services at Synernet, and held previous positions as the Director of HIM or Medical Records for Lincoln County Healthcare in Damariscotta, ME; Augusta Mental Health Institute in Augusta, ME; Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport, ME; North County Hospital in Newport, VT; and Amesbury Hospital in Amesbury, MA. Haney holds a BS in Health Information Management from Stephens College in Columbia, MO and a Master's of Science degree in Health Care Administration from California College for Health Sciences.
In 2013, Haney was recipient of AHIMA's Triumph Mentor Award in recognition of her work to re-train existing transcriptionists as entry level coders addressing both a shortage of coders and a decreasing demand for transcription services.
