Thomas announces release of new book, "Self Shot Girls"
Brandy Thomas has announced the release of her new book, "Self Shot Girls" Volume I.

The new release is available as an 8x10 paperback and retails for $19.95. The 32-page book is written in English, highlighting full-color high-definition photographs. All photos are self-taken and include mirror shots taken by the models themselves. The subjects in the book are not professional models, presenting an added level of interest. They represent women from all walks of life, from college students to the girl next door, each of which is secure in herself as a woman.
The idea for the book came about after the author saw the many photos that women were posting of themselves on Facebook, the most popular social media platform on the Web. The topic and the practice is extremely popular online by women of all ages, but especially so among attractive younger women.
Thomas invested a year contacting the models featured in the book and obtaining releases. Models submitted photos of themselves that they considered displayed them to their best advantage. For those who desired inclusion in the book but didn't have a suitable photo, a studio was provided for the women to produce their own art.
Art takes many forms and Thomas is among the first to recognize the artistic potential of a social phenomenon that's burgeoned in a digital age.
