Thermo Fisher Scientific Releases a New High-Capacity Capillary Ion Chromatography Column for the Analysis of Organic Acids and Inorganic Anions
Thermo Fisher Scientific introduces a new capillary ion chromatography column for the determination of organic acids and inorganic anions, which provides an easier and more reliable analysis.
- San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2012 - Thermo Fisher Scientific is pleased to announce a new 4 µm ion chromatography capillary column--Thermo Scientific Dionex IonPac AS11-HC-4µm-for the determination of organic acids and inorganic anions in complex sample matrices. The new column has the same selectivity as the current Dionex IonPac™ AS11-HC capillary column so methods can be easily transferred to the new column with minor adjustments.
This high-capacity, hydroxide-selective column is our first anion-exchange column using 4 µm resin particles. The smaller particles produce more efficient peaks and better resolution thus making analysis easier and more reliable. The smaller particles also produce higher system back pressure (over 3000 psi) under standard operating conditions and therefore can only be run using the Thermo Scientific Dionex ICS-5000 HPIC or Dionex ICS-4000 HPIC systems, which operate up to 5000 psi.
This new column can separate 40 organic acids and inorganic anions in less than 40 minutes and will be helpful to customers in the environmental, food and beverage, chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
