New London, Conn.— The website www.thenewenglandcoast.com offers a different approach to traveling by affording the reader information on not only the well known tourist spots but those on the back roads and side streets.
(1888PressRelease) January 20, 2007 - All too often travel websites offer the same information with the only difference being the frame around the information.
TheNewEnglandCoast.com website has simplified the approach to gaining travel information by using a BLOG format that gives precise, direct and honest information and opinions on those tourist hot spots as well as those well… not so hot spots.
Founded in 2006 out of the passion for "all things New England" - founder Evan Andriopoulos decided it was time to give an unbiased opinion on all things relating to travel on the New England Coast. "We love to travel but grew tired of reading reviews on various restaurants, cafès and tourist spots but found little information on those equally and sometimes more interesting spots just a few feet from the main "drag" " said an enthusiastic Andriopoulos. "It appeared in many cases that I was simply reading the same information on location on any one of several major and even local travel web sites"- "We grew tired of this and wanted to tell people about what we enjoyed about the New England coast- there are hundreds of interesting places to visit, restaurants, inns, spas, historic places and more and felt they were not all getting their just press so we launched our website www.thenewenglandcoast.com"- followed Andriopoulos. "it is not perfect but affords the reader a chance to quickly review the information and then form their own opinion"- said Andriopoulos.
Of late the website is reviewing various restaurants, spas, inns and other along the Connecticut coast from New Haven to Stonington some are very flattering while others are based on a recent experience. The website has received more than 40,000 individual readers and looks to break 100,000 by year end 2007.
"We know some will be less satisfied by our reviews while others will be flattered… everyone deserves their day" said a smiling Andriopoulos. "For example we recently visited a restaurant that received rave reviews from the media and locals alike, well we were less than impressed" said Andriopoulos "The New England Coast is a national treasure and because a small cafe does not have the marketing budget of a major chain does not mean they do not exist… they simply need to be heard about"- followed Andriopoulos.
