The Young & Powerful Group Announces Six Celebratory Inauguration Events Including Black Tie Gala
The Young & Powerful Group raised more than $250,000 during the 2008 and 2012 election campaigns firmly demonstrating young America's undeniable political power.
- (1888PressRelease) December 20, 2012 - CHICAGO, IL - The Young & Powerful Group (Y&P) announces a series of six unprecedented events hosted during the official Inauguration weekend January 18-21, 2013 in Washington, D.C. in celebration of President Barack Obama's second term. Appropriately titled BELIEVE, Y&P has assembled a collection of celebratory events to honor the pivotal role that young Americans played in re-electing the President. Starting with a kick-off reception and culminating with a black tie gala on Inauguration day, Y&P invites emerging leaders, young innovators, politicos, national organizations, and community leaders to partake in this momentous occasion.

A national grassroots campaign of the Young & Powerful Political Action Committee, Young & Powerful for Obama embarked on a multi-city circuit that resulted in more than 25 fundraising receptions across the country in cities including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York City, and Charlotte raising more than $250,000 during the 2008 and 2012 campaigns. The organization also fueled massive volunteer efforts through Get Out to Vote (GOTV) initiatives with bus trips to key battleground states.
"The efforts of many dedicated Young & Powerful professionals will be actualized in Washington on January 21, 2013 when President Obama will be sworn in for a second term.
