  • Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2011 - The Writers' Network of South Florida presents a discussion and mini-workshop about Poetry Noir with Broward County Poet-in-Residence Anastasia Clark.

    Poetry Noir is poetry inspired by the 1940s and 1950s. The movie, Sunset Boulevard, is an example of Film Noir. The discussion will include some examples of Poetry Noir, as well as items such as posters and other props evocative of that era and style of writing. Participants will be asked to create Poetry Noir. Participants should bring a notepad, pen/pencil.

    The program will be held on July 20, 2011 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at the Broward County Main library, 6th floor. The main library is located at 100 S. Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301

    The program is free and open to the public.
