The Headliner for the evening will be Dean Napolitano. Dean Napolitano is a throwback to the great comedians of yesteryear with a modern twist. The night's festivities will also include the Celebrity Stand up Battle. After weeks of preparation, Curt Fonger of CBS, Josh Cohen of Real Radio, Sammy Cruise of WIRK and Batnails from the BUZZ will take to the mic to battle for the 2010 Top Celebrity Comic Crown. Audience crowns the winner! There are two slots left so if you have a celeb that can bring the funny let us know.
The doors open at 6:30 so attendees can participate in the silent auction. Amazing items, generously donated by local companies, will be up for grabs. Also, with the holidays just around the corner, Home Safe will be gratefully accepting gift donations that are age appropriate. (Boys and girls from 9-18)
The Home Safe for Kids Comedy Fest is open to the general public and tickets are $25 each. Group sales of 15 or more receive a $5 discount. Tickets can be purchased on line at www.improvfundraising.com or by calling the box office at 561-833-1812. Tickets, if still available, can also be purchased the day of the show.
Since 1979, Home Safe has served children impacted by abuse, neglect, abandonment, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and domestic violence. Home Safe is the only agency in Palm Beach County and one of only thirteen in the state of Florida that offers Specialized Therapeutic Group Care residential programs for abused children and teens. The program offers a full spectrum of services for victims of family violence. Home Safe also operates a comprehensive Foster Family Licensing & Support program, licensing foster homes, training foster parents, placing children in homes and providing ongoing support. Annually, over 800 children and their parents/guardians are served across Home Safe's programs and services. In addition, in 2009, after an extensive proposal and examination process, Palm Beach County's Children's Services Council chose Home Safe as the lead entry agency for the Healthy Beginnings system of care. Home Safe's role is to screen, assess and provide early intervention services to at-risk children from birth through five throughout Palm Beach County. Through this program, Home Safe will serve more than 10,000 children annually. www.homesafeforkids.org
