Thanks in large part to a contract with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Whitestone has added many new workers to their payroll, of which 137 are military service veterans. "The FAA contract helped us increase our overall group of Veteran employees to 271," Clark said.

A recent article cited unemployment among Veterans is trending two percent above the national average. Another article by the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, reported that the latest Department of Labor unemployment report shows that in October 2011, the average unemployment rate among all veterans was 7.7% and 12.1% for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. "More often than not, Veterans already have the necessary training, background and experience required of Protective Security Officers and other classifications of employees for most of our federal contracts," Clark stated.
