- (1888PressRelease) September 13, 2014 - Newport Beach, CA - West Coast boaters won't want to miss their opportunity to tour some of the largest and most luxurious boats on the market during the 36th annual Lido Boat Show. The show, with more boats in the water than any other fall show in the West, returns to Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach Sept. 18-21, 2014.
Show-goers can step aboard and compare the unique features of more than 200 pleasure boats, including brand-new models and brokerage yachts from less than 20 feet up to 100 feet. A big selection of 35- to 65-footers will be on display, with amenities that are sure to impress.
Even if you're not in the market for a new boat, the Lido Boat Show is a one-stop shop for boating accessories, the latest marine electronics, marine engines, generators, tenders and more. Boating services will also be showcased at the annual show, including marinas, marine financing and insurance.
"We're expecting this to be the largest fall show we've had in almost a decade," said show producer Duncan McIntosh. "We built more dock space than we have in a long time."
The 2014 iteration of the Lido Boat Show will offer more than 400,000 square feet of floating dock exhibits and boardwalk displays, plus a huge selection of boating accessories, electronics, gear and services. And Saturday, attendees can get a look at the latest luxury land transportation: a brand-new Ferrari will be on display.
In addition, the number of new boats has increased from last year-and not just new boats but new models that West Coast residents haven't had the chance to see before.
"More boats are making their West Coast, North American or world premiere at this year's show than we've ever had, and that's exciting," McIntosh said.
The Hinckley Talaria 43 will make its world premiere, while the 45-foot Monte Carlo MC4 makes its North American debut. Other boats that have never been on display on the West Coast include the Dyna 52, the Post 50, two VanDutch models, the Tiara 44 Coupe and the Riva Iseo 27. The latest in electronics, power, propulsion and construction techniques will be found in these yachts and many others.
Sailors will find plenty to look at and talk about, too. Every major brand of sailboat will be represented at the show in an expanded sail section, including Dufour, Jeanneau, Beneteau, Leopard, Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot, Catalina, Hunter and Tartan. If wind power is your thing, the Lido Boat Show has you covered.
Boat owners and prospective buyers won't want to miss this one-stop shopping experience, which is what the Lido Boat Show has come to represent.
Show hours are noon-7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15 (credit cards accepted) for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Free offsite parking and continuous shuttle service will be available.
