The Victoria Theatre Association Proudly Presents the Chicago Mass Choir
As part of the 2011-2012 Key Bank African American Arts Festival, the Victoria Theatre Association is presenting the Chicago Mass Choir. Tickets are on sale now.

Internationally known for its versatile Gospel music sound, Chicago Mass Choir has entertained thousands since 1988 with traditional, praise and worship music or simply put "foot-stompin', Jesus-praisin' Church music. Chicago Mass Choir was also featured in the eight-week GMC series, "America Sings," hosted by Drew Lachey. The group also has an extensive list of recordings including Chicago Mass Choir's latest CD/DVD, Chicago Mass Choir Presents, "XV"-Live, which has received five 2012 Stellar Award nominations and led to a 14 city tour of Spain in December of 2011.

The Chicago Mass Choir is a component of the ECC Music Workshop, organized by the late James C. Chambers in 1988 in Chicago, Illinois. The choir consists of dedicated members, including ministers and evangelists from various denominations. Chicago Mass Choir is known for its versatile Traditional and Praise and Worship Gospel music sound.

Chicago Mass Choir's latest CD/DVD, "Chicago Mass Choir Presents, "XV"-Live" was the first international TV taping recorded "live" at the TBN Studios in Hendersonville, TN in October 2010. Since the release of their current project, they've been featured on GMC's eight-week summer music series, "America Sings!" Chicago Mass Choir was chosen from thousands of entries to be among the 100 semi-finalists on "America Sings." The sensational show, hosted by 98 Degrees superstar Drew Lachey, aired in nearly 48 million homes.
Chicago Mass Choir is no stranger to National Television and has been featured on BET's "Bobby Jones Gospel," "GMC's Hometown Gospel" and the 2011 "Gospel Super-fest TV Show." This multifaceted choir was also the featured artist for the opening reception of the Broadway Musical, The Color Purple in Chicago, IL.
They have recorded and performed with many recording artists, such as Bob Dylan on his 2009 Gospel CD/DVD "Gotta Have Somebody," with the "Three More Tenors" and Umphrey's McGee and Onirama (Athens, Greece).
Under the leadership of Dr. Feranda B. Williamson, President/CEO and musical direction of Percy Gray, Jr., Chicago Mass Choir has completed several 10 city tours throughout Switzerland. In 2008, they were the featured artist for a two night concert in Thessaloniki, Greece and in 2009 a two week tour in Athens, Greece. In December 2010, the choir toured Northern and Southern Italy for a 12 city concert tour (including concerts in Croatia and Switzerland). In addition to touring, the choir has donated funds annually to various non-profit organizations, including the American Red Cross Haiti-Relief Fund.
