The Stars Align to Talk All Things X-Files for Charity

Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2009 - Whether you were a fan of the mythology episodes or the monsters of the week, there is no denying that The X-Files made audiences ponder, gasp, laugh and hide their eyes—occasionally all at the same time. If you’ve ever wondered if Scully was immortal, if Skinner was still infected with nano-technology, or if Mulder and Scully will be fighting the coming 2012 invasion, November 14th is your day to ask those questions and many others.

Actress Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully, herself), actor Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner), executive producer/writer Frank Spotnitz and director Rob Bowman (currently EP and director on “Castle”) hit the Beverly Wilshire hotel on November 14th, 2009 at 2:00pm to reminisce and answer those burning questions (eg all those rumors about X-Files 3 and the 2012 mythology).

Proceeds from this amazing event will be donated in support of the participants’ chosen charities, including The Santa Monica-UCLA Rape Treatment Center, Off the Street Kids, Fezeka and Children of the Night.

Some lucky fans will get a chance for extended “Meet and Greets” with the panelists prior to the event. “Meet and Greet” chances are being auctioned off on eBay throughout October (packages to meet Gillian, Mitch, Frank and Rob are currently available at http://www.ibginc.org/tickets).

The event is being hosted by IBG Inc. Founded in late 2008, host organization IBG established an official non-profit campaign focusing on utilizing the power of philanthropy through the arts to benefit a wide range of charities worldwide. IBG acts as a “fundraiser facilitator” for underfunded and start-up charities that would otherwise struggle with the logistics and costs associated with event fundraising.
