The South Camden Theatre Company, Inc., welcomes author Bill C. Davis on the opening night of "Mass Appeal" for a meet and greet with the audience.
Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) January 16, 2009 - The South Camden Theatre Company, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Camden, New Jersey will perform “Mass Appeal” written by Bill C. Davis beginning February 6 through Sunday February 22, 2009. Mr. Davis will also visit South Camden Theatre Company for a special meet and greet session following the opening night performance on Friday, February 6, 2009.
Director for the show and Producing Artistic Director of South Camden Theatre Company Joseph M. Paprzycki states, “Mass Appeal” is a classic dramatic-comedy of two priests that clash over the traditional and modern Catholic ideology; touching on the ongoing dialogue between both clergy and parishioners which shows how we can lose ourselves and what is essential in our humanity, and how we can find redemption in letting go of our fears. I am honored to have the opportunity for our audience to speak directly with Bill C. Davis and gain insight into a new version of his classic play”.

Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 1:30pm at the South Camden Theatre Company’s stage currently located in the basement theater of the Sacred Heart Church in Camden, New Jersey. The South Camden Theatre Company, Inc. will produce two additional shows for their fourth season including a special one show performance on March 15, 2009 of “Go Irish: The Purgatory Diaries of Jason Miller” which will be followed by “And Justice For All” a festival of four one-act plays about political and social injustice to debut April 24, 2009.
The South Camden Theatre Company, Inc. has been staging productions for four years in the basement of Sacred Heart Church and plans to move its performances across the street into the new 99 seat Waterfront South Theatre in the fall of 2009. Located at the corner of 4th and Jasper Streets in Camden, New Jersey, the new building is currently under construction at the site of the former bar named “Walt’s Café” an establishment previously owned by Paprzycki’s grandparents and is the setting for his first play and forthcoming book, “Last Rites”.
