The Social Programme at ENTER 2014
The ENTER eTourism conference is one of the most sociable conferences around the world, underlined with a grandiose social programme, which has always been an integral part of the ENTER experience. For ENTER 2014 IFITT has organised a fantastic mix of social activities in Dublin, making the event one of the biggest highlights of the year for the participants.
- (1888PressRelease) December 05, 2013 - The social programme will begin on Monday, the 20th of January evening. Those who have already arrived in Dublin can get to know the slow and simple life in Ireland with a bite at the 'Dunne and Crescenzi' on South Frederick Street, just a few minutes away from the recommended hotels.
On Tuesday, the 21st of January, the participants of the PhD workshop can celebrate the results of a fruitful day in the O'Neills Bar, one of Dublin's most traditional pubs with an incredible ambiance created by numerous memorabilia hanging on the walls and ceilings.
The official conference welcome reception will be held on Wednesday, the 22nd of January at the Guinness Storehouse, which is the home of Guinness since 1759 that has been transformed into Irelands' number one international visitor attraction and a world class event destination. The evening will be a night to remember, beginning with a magical Guinness journey through the storehouse to learn about the fascinating history behind the world's most iconic brands. After that the reception will take place in the Gravity bar, famous for its uninterrupted 360 degree views across Dublin and the Dublin Mountains. The evening will continue its entertainment in Arthur's Bar and Gilroy's Bar.
On Thursday all delegates are invited to a large, lively party celebrating 21 years of eTourism research and development at the Jameson Distillery. Such a party is called a 'Shindig' and represents the ultimate way to experience the Irish culture. The evening will start at 7pm with a reception, followed by a guided tour of the Old Jameson Distillery museum. After that traditional Irish music and dancing accompanied by a delicious 4-course dinner, located in a picturesque setting and a batch of the finest Irish whiskey will add to the enchanting experience.
For those delegates intending to stay after the conference closing, IFITT suggests joining the last social event on Friday, the 24th of January 2014 at the Market Bar and Tapas restaurant located on Fade Street. After that delegates can celebrate the conference ending at Hogan's Bar on South George's Street.
