The Sewing Studio Raffles Handmade Quilt to Benefit Charity
The Orlando store is raffling a quilt with all proceeds to go to an education charity that benefits girls in Asian countries.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) August 13, 2011 - The Sewing Studio's Serger Club, a group of Orlando area hobbyists devoted to keeping the art of hand quilting alive, have created a quilt that is being raffled to support an international education organization that builds schools in impoverished countries. The quilt is currently on display at The Sewing Studio in Maitland, where raffle tickets may also be purchased for a chance to win it.
Tickets may be purchased for one dollar apiece, or six for five dollars. Each ticket offers participants one chance at winning the hand-crafted quilt when the drawing is held at the end of September. All proceeds will benefit the Central Asia Institute that builds schools in Asian regions and benefits girls by providing them with an education that was not previously available to them.
The Sewing Studio's Serger Club created the quilt specifically for this charity. The queen sized quilt is a fun and modern pattern made from bright jewel tone cottons, and beautifully long-arm quilted.
The Sewing Studio is located in Maitland at 9605 South Highway 17-92, and can be found online at www.sewing.net.
