- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) September 09, 2010 - NYCT in collaboration with NYU-SCPS is pleased to offer its second annual workshop to Circle members and others in the language industry profession.
The Second Susana Greiss Annual Workshop takes place Saturday, October 2 and Sunday, October 3, 2010, at the Woolworth Building, 15 Barclay St. in New York City, New York. The 2-day seminar will provide state-of-the art information on topics related to interpreting, translation, management accounting for freelancers, and the impact of the internet on the mediums via which translation is conducted.

A New York State not-for-profit corporation with several hundred members, NYCT is a chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA) which is, in turn, an affiliate of the International Federation of Translators (FIT). Its member translators and interpreters are committed to the exchange of ideas and mutual support, with the goal to educate the general public about the professional nature of interpreting and translating.
NYU-SCPS offers professional certificates in general translation, medical interpreting, court interpreting (Spanish/English), simultaneous interpreting, and general language studies certificates in Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and language groups such as Slavic, East Asian, Middle Eastern, Scandinavian, and Classical languages.
