The Resolutions Firm Attends The 9th Annual Smile Gala at the Beverly Hills Hilton in Los Angeles To Honor Harrison Ford and John Stamos.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2010 - The Resolutions Firm joined local attended the 9th annual Smile Gala in Los Angeles on Friday, Sept. 24. The firm has been involved in a project with local businesses to raise money to fund a mission for Operation Smile.
The Smile Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California was held to honor John Stamos, Harrison Ford and Susan Casden for their efforts with the organization. The event also included several member of the hit show, "Glee." The purpose of the gala was to raise awareness and funds for the Operation Smile organization.
Operation Smile is an international organization that provides free surgeries to children who suffer from cleft palates and other facial deformities. According to their web site, it is estimated that every 3 minutes, a child is born a cleft condition, affecting the child's ability to speak, eat, socialize or smile.
The Resolutions Firm is constantly getting involved in the community to make a difference. The company has also volunteered and raised money for several other organizations including raising over $1000 in the San Diego Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. Members of the company have also contributed with Habitat for Humanity to build homes in Miami, ran in triathlons to raise money for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the Alzheimer's Association and Autism speaks. Last year, the company volunteered with the Therapeutic Foundation of San Diego.
The company first became interested in the Operations Smile organization when a colleague had the opportunity to travel to one of the South American mission sites. Since finding out more about the organization, The Resolutions Firm wanted to become involved with the cause. The goal is to participate in raising money for a mission and they are starting by raising over $2000 by 2011.
The Resolutions Firm also joined forces with a local company in a Charity Wiffle Ball Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 26 at Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach. All proceeds went directly towards Operation Smile. There will also be a charity bowling tournament in November.
