  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) February 17, 2012 - The next generation of intelligence analysis looks very different from the analysis done in our organizations over the past few years. Driving forces, including needs to address the growing complexity of competitive and environmental factors, better dealing with the global explosion of data available, and the urgent need for alternative cognitive models, among other things, have brought intelligence analysis to a tipping point. Based on nearly two decades of research conducted with hundreds of global organizations, Dr.Craig S. Fleisher will discuss how analysis practices and processes need to be re-engineered to meet rapidly changing needs of decision-makers.

At the March 6 meeting, Fleisher will illustrate several "next generation" analytical elements. He will also introduce the development of structured analytical methodology including the means of uniting key intelligence topics (KITs) and analytical techniques in a framework known as KITs+1™.

Craig S. Fleisher is Chief Learning Officer for Aurora WDC. He is a former SCIP President, inaugural chair of the CI Foundation, Editor of the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management, SCIP Fellow and Meritorious Award winner. Fleisher has also served as dean of two business schools, been a university research chair holder, has written/co-written over a hundred academic articles, and several CI books including his foundational efforts Strategic and Competitive Analysis (Prentice Hall, 2003) and Business and Competitive Analysis (FT Press, 2007), co-authored with Babette Bensoussan.

The chapter meeting will be from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, 222 Pitkin Street, East Hartford, CT 06108. Registration is $15.00 (for SCIP members, CAT tenants, SLA members, and students) and $20.00 for non-members.
