The ‘New Moves’ of YMC for the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 visitors
The Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix of 2021, is taking place at the Yas Marina Circuit, from 9 December to 12 December.
- (1888PressRelease) December 01, 2021 - Along with the Formula 1 races, the Yas Marina Circuit will also be home to numerous events, like the supporting races, Formula 2 World Championship and the FIA Formula 4 UAE Championship. Apart from these races, the visitors holding the F1 tickets for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will also experience and enjoy the ‘New Moves’ that the Yas Marina Circuit has introduced as new additions for their 2021 Formula 1 event.
1. The modified race track
The Yas Marina Circuit, which is considered the most technologically advanced racetrack for Formula 1, has introduced some changes to its tracks. They are more challenging for the racers and more entertaining for the F1 ticket holders and viewers across the globe.
Turn 5 (North Grandstand) modifications:
The corner near the North Grandstand, formerly Turn 7, had a chicane before its entrance, leading to a slow hairpin turn. The chicane is removed, and the North Grandstand corner has become Turn 5.
After modifications, Turn 5 is Yas Marina Circuit’s most challenging hairpin turn. The cars will be approaching at a speed of nearly 300 km/h after Turn 4, allowing the viewers to watch more side-by-side action.
Turn 9 (South Grandstand) modifications:
Prior to the modifications, the South Grandstand corner of Yas Marina Circuit was a heavy braking zone, where cars approached at relatively slower speeds for the 90-degree turns. After modifications, the Turn 9 corner allows cars to approach at a speed of over 300 km/h, leading them to a wide and long hairpin. The corner will also allow drivers to compete side-by-side.
Turns 12-15 (W Hotel Sequence) modifications:
The corner of YMC’s racetrack near the W Hotel was previously called Turns 17 - 20. Post modifications, the corner has become Turns 12 - 15. With the modification, the turns have been made a little more curved. This will allow the Formula 1 drivers to race closer to one another, on a smooth, curved turn.
2. After-race concerts by 4 AAA international artists
The Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 event at the Yas Marina Circuit will begin on Thursday, 9 December, and will end on Sunday, 12 December. An AAA international artist will conduct a live concert on each of those four nights.

Oasis areas are dedicated entertainment areas for the visitors. Each Yas Marina Circuit seating area has its own dedicated Oasis area, where the visitors will get access to food and beverage, live entertainment, games, Formula 1 merchandise, and comfortable garden seating among other things.
As a part of Super Thursdays, on 9 December, all F1 ticket holders will get to enjoy activities like the Pit Stop Challenge and take part in the Pit Lane Walk. They will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the different Formula 1 teams preparing for the races in the garages.
