Save the Date! Join the National Steinbeck Center at the NPR Headquarters in Washington DC for a celebration of the 75th anniversary of The Grapes of Wrath.
- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) April 17, 2014 - In honor of the 75th anniversary of the publication of The Grapes of Wrath the National Steinbeck Center commissioned a talented group of artists to retrace the Joad family's epic journey, gathering today's stories of struggle and resilience.
Playwright Octavio Solis, visual artist Patricia Wakida and filmmaker P.J. Palmer embarked on the journey along Route 66 taking them through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
Come hear from the National Steinbeck Center and this diverse group of artists as they discuss the continuing relevance of The Grapes of Wrath as well as the stories they heard from the folks they encountered along this infamous route.

Doors will open at 6:30PM. All tickets are general admission and seating is first come, first serve.
NPR HQ is located at 1111 North Capitol Street NE, Washington, D.C. 20002 and is accessible by Metro, located a few blocks from the NOMA - Gallaudet U/New York Ave stop on the Red Line. Bike racks and street parking located on L Street N.E. across from NPR Headquarters.
