The Mississauga Food Bank is once again a charitable recipient of the Mississauga Marathon. Teams can register to participate in one of the marathon events and setup a profile page to raise support on behalf of the food bank.
The Mississauga Food Bank is pleased to present their 2nd annual A Night At The Warehouse fundraiser. The 2013 event will feature an International Marketplace theme. Tickets can be purchased online through The Mississauga Food Bank website starting February 4.
The Mississauga Food Bank is pleased to announce the results of their Holiday Food & Fundraising Drive. The six-week drive collected $286,297 and 253,481 lbs. of food, beating its goal of $250,000 and 175,000 lbs. of food. This is thanks in large part to the tireless efforts made by the Mississauga community.
The drive has collected 210,000 lbs. of food to date surpassing their goal of 175,000 lbs. They have raised $166,000 and have until December 31 to reach their $250,000 fundraising goal.
The Mississauga Food Bank is pleased to announce the launch of its 2012 Holiday Food & Fundraising Drive. The drive will run from November 15 - December 31 and will help feed families during the season when they most need help.
The Mississauga Food Bank's 375 volunteers collected food and financial donations at grocery stores across Mississauga during the Thanksgiving weekend. In total, the organization collected more than 85,000 lbs. of food (5% more than last year) and raised $65,634.
Local residents are encouraged to donate Thanksgiving weekend or drop off non-perishable food items. Food donations can be made at any Mississauga fire hall or grocery store from September 26 - October 24. Cash or food donations can also be made at any time to The Mississauga Food Bank.
