The Medical Center of Aurora Opens New Community Emergency Room
10,000 Square Foot Full Service Facility Brought to Southeast Aurora.
- Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) November 01, 2013 - The Medical Center of Aurora, part of the HealthONE System of Excellence, will open the Saddle Rock Emergency Department on November 1. The full service, freestanding facility will provide southeast Aurora and surrounding communities access to state of the art emergency medical care.
What: The official opening of the newest medical campus of The Medical Center of Aurora, the Saddle Rock ER.
When: Friday, November 1
Where: Saddle Rock ER is at 22500 E Dry Creek Road, Aurora 80016 (on the southwest corner of South Gartrell Road and East Dry Creek Road, near E-470).
Why: Complete with 10 patient beds and a designated trauma room, Saddle Rock ER will be staffed 24/7 by board certified emergency medical personnel, including specifically trained ER nurses. These care providers will be able to supply first class treatment of acute illnesses or injuries with the assistance of invaluable on-site resources including a full service laboratory and blood bank, in-house digital radiology and CT scanning, and the full spectrum of emergency diagnostic services.
Services like these are typically only available in traditional hospitals, and therefore will prevent the need for much of the community to seek medical assistance far from home. Neurologists are also available for evaluation and diagnosis of stroke victims through the HealthONE telemedicine program.
However, if hospital admission is necessary, Saddle Rock ER patients can receive rapid ground or air transport to The Medical Center of Aurora.
