The Local's Hottest: New Hampton Roads Publication Launches in 2012

- Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport News, VA-NC (1888PressRelease) January 09, 2012 - Chase Skylar Demayo has joined the publication and will serve as Director of Editorial and Promotions. Demayo will oversee all editorial aspects of the publication, its website, social media, and on-going promotions. He brings with him years of experience as a journalist in the US Air Force covering stories for military base newspapers. He's also been published in Men's Vogue, after receiving a prestigious internship in NYC with the magazine, and has written for other various publications.
Locally, Demayo has been heating up Hampton Roads as a personality and promotions leader for years. He was the 1st runner-up for The Face of Fox 43 competition (1st year) - receiving more than 100,000 votes. Demayo found quick success after the Face of Fox competition and became a popular announcer for the local Tides and Admirals games. For the last couple of years, he's built a bigger name for himself working with local radio stations and performing promotions for local bars and restaurants. Along with studying and perfecting his comedy act at the Virginia Beach Funny Bone, Demayo is also a sought after disc jockey and can be found all around Hampton Roads playing tunes, yelling on the microphone, and even dancing on bars to entertain locals.
