The Largest Recycling Organization WITS Introduces A New Volunteer-For-Free-Computer Program
The awareness of the 3Rs reduce, reuse and recycle is increasing day by day that many entrepreneurs are actively engaged in the scrap recycling business.
- (1888PressRelease) August 19, 2011 - Nagercoil, TamilNadu - Recently, there has been a boon in the scrap recycling industry which has led to the development of many non-profit scrap industries as well as organizations. Different kinds of scraps like aluminium scraps, copper scraps, lead scrap, zinc scrap, nickel scrap, electronic scrap, battery scrap, brass scrap, glass scraps, paper scraps are traded all over the globe to be reprocessed or recycled into finished metals.
A recent survey reveals the fact that 68% of consumers stockpile used or unwanted computer equipment in their homes. Also, according to the UN Environment Programme, the worldwide total for e-waste could be 50 million tons per year. So, it's always efficient to recycle these e-wastes in order to keep the environment clean and go green.
When taken in a universal basis, there are innumerable buyers and suppliers in the scrap market who deal with the trading of all kinds of scraps. Amongst them, wits is a renowned recycling organization in the state of Missouri with operations in Illinois and Indiana and satellite support in various states around the US. They are mainly engaged in buying electronic and computer scraps with the main parts and components thereby using them for special training and educating purposes.
"WITS is dedicated to underserved populations and nonprofits. Through education and training we can empower all populations to become more productive in their environments while saving the landfills. Our goal is to be run and staffed by students/mentors with a "pass it on" value." Says Ms. Angela Haas, the representative of WITS. On account of this statement, WITS has now recently organized a Volunteer-For-Free-Computer Program in which the participants are asked to volunteer hours in exchange for their computer. Their volunteered time duration can be effectively used for different recycling chores which increases the awareness of reusing of electronic materials.
So, the fact is, Wits, an emerging recycling organization has proved itself in the industry by introducing good recycling awareness programs that makes people understand the benefits and effects of recycling materials. But another point worthy to be added is that Wits has also been in relationship with recycleinme.com, a universal scrap portal since December 2010 which has really helped to expand its wings to new markets and approaches.
