- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) April 25, 2015 - Luxury Hotelier, Deanna Crossman, Achieves Triangle Business Journal's Leadership Award.
Before founding The King's Daughters Inn in 2008, Deanna restored and renovated 34 historic homes in Durham's Walltown area. Today, her portfolio includes 14 homes just outside of Downtown Durham. Deanna is currently building The Mayton Inn, a 45 room full-service boutique hotel, complete with a restaurant featuring fine southern cuisine, a bar offering high touch cocktails, and a spa with all of the luxurious amenities one can imagine for a dream home away from home. The reputation and level of service the King's Daughters Inn provides to Durham will equally illuminate Cary's thriving downtown ascension with the addition of The Mayton Inn.
While working tirelessly on these projects, Deanna has held a multitude of leadership roles, including mentoring science and math students, sitting on the board of the Durham County Visitor's Bureau, serving on the Durham Inter-Neighborhood Council and partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Durham for fundraiser efforts. After being such an active member of the Durham community for so many years, Deanna is looking forward to becoming an integral part of Cary's downtown revitalization. She will bring her knowledge and experience from participating in Durham's thriving business culture to help bolster Cary's growth.
"I'm honored to have been recognized with this prestigious award from the TBJ. I'm passionate about improving where I work and live, as well as helping my team develop both personally and professionally," said Crossman. "I'm really looking forward to bringing my energy and enthusiasm to downtown Cary."
