The Kid Rated R Reveals Fresh Hip-Hop Passion in New Album "What I Feel"
The Kid Rated R is a revelation. His album "What I Feel" tells all about the sides of hip-hop unheard of before.
- (1888PressRelease) June 01, 2011 - Hip-hop isn't just a music genre anymore - it's a revelation. More talent has been plucked from this pool than ever and its artists continue to dominate the MP3 players, airwaves, and movie soundtracks of its users today.
And when we talk of hip-hop, there's a new artist that's totally passionate about it - he calls himself The Kid Rated R.
The Kid Rated R was born Robert Quintana in San Francisco, California in 1985. He was surrounded with drum machines, hot food, salsa music, and brought up by his father, Robert Sr., a conga drummer. The Kid knew funk, rock and Motown. He was three.
The Kid experienced unbridled attention in 8th grade when he decided to do freestyle battle - his first time doing it and the first time in front of an excited crowd. He realized how powerful being on the microphone was and from then on, he rapped and free-styled his way to the mean streets of New York and sunny Los Angeles.
To date, The Kid continues to experiment with his music. His philosophy about it: No holds barred. No boundaries. Endless possibilities. The Kid not only raps but he can sing and make you swoon too. Add to that his fantastic musical knowledge, you get a delightfully unpredictable style. The Kid Rated R wants to make real music, not ringtone music. He's not here to claim his 15 minutes - he's here to stay! The Kid knows that making hits shouldn't just be what you aim for. If you're ambitious, the music should speak volumes. That's The Kid Rated R - outspoken, frenetic, and fresh hip-hop.
