The event will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at The Omphoy Ocean Resort, located on 2842 S. Ocean Blvd, Palm Beach, FL 33480.
This eco-chic party of the year will incorporate the most innovative aspects of green living and sustainability. Showcasing community engagement and highlighting the local creative culture, the Green Gala will raise awareness of sustainable living in Palm Beach County.
Chef Michael Wurster, will create a special one-night-only menu for the three-course dinner. While reinventing his cuisine, Michael has become a staunch advocate of responsible cooking with sustainable foods through modern technique. "It is our personal responsibility to pass on ingredients and art of sustainable cooking to the next generation of chefs," says Chef Wurster, while continuing to pursue innovative techniques to bring sustainable food to all of his creations and those that he mentors.
Transport to the green wonderland of the gala's décor, featuring an eco-inspired theme. Connect with nature in the plethora of green and earth color palette, lavish landscapes and waterfall displays, and environmentally conscious furnishings.
Inside the The Omphoy Ocean Resort, the intimate function space integrates seamlessly with the water-inspired interiors, complete with reflecting pools and water features throughout. The sweeping beachfront terraces are the only beachfront boutique hotel on Palm Beach Island. Contemporary and chic, the hotel engages the escapist in everyone with an unpretentious air of sophistication combined with the continuous flow of fresh ocean breezes.
The Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce Green Gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. Guests will have an opportunity to bid on silent auctions items during the hors'oeuvre and cocktail hour.
Celebrate sustainability and gifts of nature and enjoy the endless entertainment throughout the evening, including fire dancers, garden fairies, belly dancers, stilt walkers, and DJ artisans. Guest will be wowed with a spectacular performance by Groovolution Dance Studio, the dance performer sponsor. JX3 Events is the DJ, MC and lighting sponsor.
