The "Gasping for Home" Tale of Immigration Will Leave You Breathless - Syracuse University takes center stage live at the Fringe 2011 in Edinburgh, Scotland - Show dates: 15-20 August 2011, 8:05pm in Greenside's all new Studio 2.

In Lung Dreams' Gasping for Home, the stage is covered in flags to emphasize the irony of the central drama, where America has become associated with ideologies of repression and victimization.
The story revolves around a Portuguese immigrant couple living in fear of deportation in the USA. Through dance, drama and physical theater, the audience is given insight into a struggle for identity and acceptance. They live their lives as outsiders in the most powerful community in the world.
"We grab attention through thought-provoking issues on human rights," says producer and actor, Mark Blane, who plays Alexander in this thought-provoking piece. He claims that Lung Dreams breaks the rules of traditional theatre: "Our show will get you deep in your stomach and its message will resonate for years to come."
More of a bold political statement than just a theatrical performance, the show has shocked and overwhelmed audiences in the company's native Syracuse. It promises to delve into the soul of the audience, forcing them to think passionately about the characters and the struggles facing them.
