The First PLUS SIZE Fashion Week-The Walk of Curves to be held In Five Cities
This multi-city fashion week, will be the first ever fashion show solely focusing on plus size brands & fashion designers to showcase their collection on our plus size models - males & females.
- (1888PressRelease) August 03, 2017 - The Organizers of Miss & Mrs. Curvy Queen 2017 West India, the First Every Beauty Pageant in the country for Plus Sized Women, today announced their next project The Walk of Curves, a dedicated fashion week for fashion clothing and swimwear in Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata.
Speaking on the occasion, Trishla Rane, Director, 4th Dimension Media and Co-Organizer of the fashion week, said” The idea behind the fashion week is to create awareness about the various fashion clothing options in India available for both plus sized men and women in the country as people are now aware of the clothing options and end up struggling what to wear.” She added, “Today there are 20 plus sized clothing brands which is up to 8XL and some up to 12 XL plus sized men and women can look glamorous if styles correctly.”
Rane went on to add that, “Through this show we are trying we are trying to accentuate the curves and make one look glamorous and not shoddy in the dresses.”
Neha Chanchlani, Owner the Bounce Company and Studio Stands Pune, and a co-organizer of the fashion show, “ Our main motive is to promote plus sized clothing options available to the people in the country.”
Speaking on the options available for the participating brands, Neha said, “At the show our models will be wearing the clothing designed by the brands and the brands will, be granted the opportunity to display their wares at stalls at the show venue.”
This show is expected to create a tremor in the plus sized fashion industry and to create a walkway for International brands to enter the Indian market and promote the plus size fashion industry further.
