The Festival des Concerts Sauvages 'Go Wild Outdoor Music Festival' in the Portes du Soleil the 2-9th April 2011
A unique new event for 2011: 10 acoustic gigs in incredible outdoor locations across the Portes du Soleil ski area.
- (1888PressRelease) February 19, 2011 - See the best of French and International Rock completely free: your Portes du Soleil lift pass gives you free entry to all the gigs in this first of its kind festival.
Unlike other festivals, the programme of concerts will not be released in advance. Festival-goers will receive an SMS alert with details of the location of the gig and the group of the day. All they need do is jump on their skis and head to that day's venue!
Chill out with a beer in the spring sunshine, or dance to the beat of the music, before skiing back to resort to continue the party!
Some of the top names in French music are already starting to be confirmed for the line-up:
- BB Brunes « BB Brunes are the new French band to watch out for. Young and energetic, they have found success both with recording and performing live. »
- Keziah Jones « Kezia mixes styles, techniques and beats picked up on her extensive travels. Her incredible voice fuses a delicate mix of blues, funk, soul, rock and African rhythms into her very own "blue funk". »
- Inna Modja « The young singer and L'Oreal muse Inna Modja, produces her own style of pop influenced with folk and soul music. This up and coming star has just released her first solo album. »
- Joyce Jonathan « This talented songwriter-composer-performer has an artistic maturity well beyond his years. In January 2011 he was voted by the french public as being the best new discovery of the year in the famed NRJ Music Awards. »
- Jamaica « This incredible duo plunge us into the world of electro-rock with energetic rhythms and rowdy performances, all founded on the New Wave of the 80s and 90s. 2011 will be their year! »

Each resort throughout the Portes du Soleil will also be organising fringe events. Après ski concerts will be organised in resort every evening so festival-goers can keep partying till the early hours. Through a public vote online, one of these performers also wins the chance to record an album in a Warner Studio, and perform at the festival next year. You decide!
