There is caution from the FDA when using products with Benzoyl Peroxide. Specifically Benzoyl Peroxide can make you more light sensitive so it's very important to use a sunscreen. In addition Benzoyl Peroxide shouldn't be used on broken or irritated skin.
The FDA has also released Warnings and Directions for products containing the ingredient Benzoyl Peroxide.
Some of you will be thinking "Hasn't Benzoyl Peroxide been around for years?" The answer is obviously "yes", but now the FDA has officially confirmed it.
The FDA final guidelines also detail usage of Benzoyl Peroxide with other acne ingredients. The FDA has stated the range for concentration of Benzoyl Peroxide in acne medications.
