The Eric D. Davis Sarcoma Foundation Launches 'Aware Because I Care' Pledge Campaign For Sarcoma Awareness Month
Our goal throughout the month of July is to educate others about sarcoma cancer (often referred to as the "forgotten cancer"), provide information for those newly diagnosed or living with sarcoma and spread awareness about this often misdiagnosed disease.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) July 12, 2013 - The Eric D. Davis Sarcoma Foundation (EDDF) is honoring Sarcoma Awareness Month with their signature "Aware Because I Care" pledge campaign.
"We have many great initiatives for Sarcoma Awareness Month," Nia Davis, Co-Founder and President of EDDF said. "We decided to kickoff July with this campaign because it lends support to awareness, which is deeply rooted in all of the work we do."
The "Aware Because I Care" pledge allows supporters to take a moment and vow that they stand strong in the fight against sarcoma. It also promises that they will spread awareness of sarcoma and rare diseases.
"It takes less than a minute to take the pledge, but the symbolic impact of the oath is immense," Zanetta Davis, Co-Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of EDDF said. "Together we can provide the assist to the sarcoma community, and those words are how we close the pledge."
The "Aware Because I Care" pledge is hosted on the National Sarcoma Awareness Month page on EricDDavisFoundation.org and first names of those who took the pledge will be highlighted on EDDF's Facebook page.
