- Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) September 27, 2011 - The Dr. Rafael Peņalver Clinic announces its continued commitment in serving more than 35,000 patients annually. On Friday September 30th from 6-8pm, it will host a private reception for PRESS and community leaders. On Saturday, it will host a community open house with free health screenings for those who attend.
It is more than just the health care facility of choice for residents in Little Havana. Our scope of services now expands to the entire Miami Dade County. It is an example of a dynamic health care model and is also a community agency which provides affordable high quality health care and preventive services to enhance the well being of its visitors.
The Clinic's ability in setting the standards of excellence is through its strategic affiliations and partnership with various community and governmental agencies. These continued affiliations with the University of Miami School of Nursing and Medicine, Health Council of South Florida, the Department of Health, Miami Dade College's Medical Campus, the Miami Rescue Mission, the Florida Free Clinic Association, the National Free Clinic Associations, and a network of local hospitals only serve to further strengthen the mission, services and benefits to the community served by the clinic.
The Clinic, under its new medical provider, will continue to offer the following medical services: Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Dental Care, Adult Care, Vaccinations, Pharmacy, X-rays, Electrocardiograms, Patient education, Specialist referrals and WIC programs. In addition to these medical services, the Clinic continues to deliver Outreach and Educational Programs such as health screenings, educational and nutritional counseling, while addressing the illnesses of highest prevalence among Hispanics. The Clinic hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Clinic is a non-profit Florida corporation, tax exempt under Section 501c (3). Inaugurated on April 28, 1996, the Clinic looks forward to its future opportunities with great confidence.
