Currently composing from the ATL, her sound is a fusion of "Harlem Renaissance" soul and jazz, which includes an influence of the eclectic Euro-pop hits she grew up listening to in Germany. With many moons of performances under her belt, in cities such as Vienna-Austria, New York, Cologne-Germany, and Los Angeles, The DoT has also earned ground as a veteran entertainer....eventually opening for Faith Evans, DMX, P.Diddy, 112, and many others.
The Dot was Interviewed by CelebrityDialogue.com on July 11th, 2011. She said that her grandmother introduced the Jazz of Billie Holiday, Etta James & Nina Simone to her.
She said that she has been writing songs since she was a small child.
Talking about her lyrical style, The Dot said that she likes to keep it clever when she writes songs. She was of the view that she likes to add slick metaphors & true-life experience to her songs.
