  • (1888PressRelease) March 23, 2012 - CLEVELAND, OH - From November 1st - December 20th, Terry DeLap and Mike Fransko, franchise owners of The Cleaning Authority with the help of NorthCoast Nissan in Middleburg Heights, Moen, Mimi Vanderhaven Publications, Acura and Infiniti at the Airport Auto Collection, Eastside Mazda/VW and select branches of FirstMerit Bank, are encouraging all customers and North East Ohio residents to donate non-perishable food items to the Cleveland Food Bank.

"Last year we were able to collect over two tons (5,600 lbs) of food and over $1500 in donations. This year we hope to more than double that," DeLap says. According to Feeding America, more than 170,000 children live in food insecure households in Ohio, ranking Ohio as third in the nation. "We want no one to go hungry in North East Ohio this winter and hope to continue the momentum from last year," says Fransko.

With the combined support of the North Royalton and Westlake Cleaning Authority locations and recently added businesses Eastside Mazda-VW and select branches of FirstMerit Bank, DeLap and Fransko have the ability to collect even more donations this year.

Donations can be made by visiting http://northroyalton.thecleaningauthority.com and click on the "Donate to the Cleveland Foodbank" link. Food will be collected by The Cleaning Authority from customer homes within their individual territories and at NorthCoast Nissan, located at 7168 Pearl Road in Middleburg Heights and Acura and Infiniti at the Airport Auto Collection, located at 13930-13940 Brookpark Road in Cleveland. Moen will also be accepting donations from employees at their North Olmsted office. A $50.00 new customer coupon will be provided to those who donate through these partners and reside in service areas of either office of The Cleaning Authority.

DeLap explains, "We are happy to find a way to help out families in need. Whether it be with a check made payable to The Cleveland Food Bank, Inc or a donation of non-perishable food items, we are encouraging everyone to pitch in and help." Customers of The Cleaning Authority are encouraged to leave their donations clearly marked for pick up at their homes during their regular scheduled cleans.
