The Chef's Academy Invites Community To Attend Grand Opening Event Featuring Triangle Chef Showdown
Culinary Institution's Grand Opening Event Plans To Raise Money For Local Food Bank.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) September 16, 2011 - The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 108-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers more than 30 degree programs in five schools of study, will celebrate the grand opening of the school's North Carolina division on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on its Morrisville campus located at 2001 Carrington Mill Blvd. The event will host a Triangle Chef Showdown featuring local culinary masterminds including Chef Scott Crawford of The Umstead Hotel and Spa, Chef Walter Royal of Angus Barn, Chef Khoury Solomon of Irregardless Café and Chef Michael Chuong of án Restaurant. In line with September's Hunger Action Month, a national movement of the food bank networks to end domestic hunger, The Chef's Academy grand opening will raise money and awareness of local hunger through the donation of 100,000 meals. All proceeds received will be donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
