The Chagrin Valley Jaycees Charitable Foundation Announce 2012 Movie Night By The Falls Schedule
Chagrin Valley Jaycee Charitable Foundation announces the 2012 Movie Night by the Falls with the first movie next week.
- Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria, OH (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2012 - The Chagrin Valley Jaycees (CVJC) Charitable Foundation announced the first 2012 Movie Night By The Falls today. This is the third year that the CVJC Foundation has hosted the free summer movies series at Riverside Park in downtown Chagrin Falls, next to Chagrin Hardware.
To start the celebration of "Christmas in July," the schedule opens with the 2004 animated feature "The Polar Express" sponsored by the Chagrin Falls Eagles Club F.O.E. 2436 and includes voices by Tom Hanks, Michael Jeter, Chris Coppola, and Peter Scolari. Rated G and only 99 minutes long, it is perfect for kids both big and small.
This magical holiday tale tells of a young boy who still wants to believe in Santa even though his friends have "grown out of it." His faith is rewarded when a steam train pulls up to his house and escorts him to the North Pole to meet Santa. The cutting-edge "motion capture process" used to film this story allows the real life actors to drive the emotions and movements of the animated characters.
Bring a picnic basket, blanket and lawn chair and enjoy the stars on the big screen under the stars in the sky! Movies begin at dusk (around 8) and are subject to change. All children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information call 440-591-7175.
No alcohol is permitted at the event. There is no cost to attend. Donations will be accepted. 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold before the movie and popcorn and drinks will be available from nearby merchants. Movies are shown on a large temporary screen that is erected each night.
Complete schedule:
