The Best Practices of Combined Cycle Power Plant Workshop
Top Link Conference and Event Management will be hosting the Best Practices of Combined Cycle Power Plant Operations Workshop. This workshop has been scheduled to be from 25 to 27 march 2013 at the international 5 Star Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The focus of this workshop is to help in reducing maintenance and operation costs by helping delegates to understanding how proper pump system design, operation and maintenance plays a role in it.
- (1888PressRelease) March 12, 2013 - With Clive Warrender as Trainer, Participants who manage to successfully complete this workshop will be able to:
- Describe the factors involved in developing and implementing a maintenance program for a combined cycle power plant
- Discuss factors affecting combined cycle power plant performance
- Describe the main components of and industrial gas turbine
- Explain the process of steam generation
- Describe the start-up and shutdown procedures of a gas turbines.
- Re-examining the inherent benefits of CCPP generation.
- Explain the thermodynamic process in CCPP
- Explain the importance of water chemistry in steam generation
Attendees of this workshop are expected to be the engineers of all disciplines, managers, technicians, design , maintenance and operations personnel and other technical individuals who need a comprehensive introduction to practical optimization, operation and design consideration of a major combined cycle power plant.
Clive Warrender has over 30 years Power Station operational experience with steam turbines up to 350 MW, OCGTs up to 17 MW and all auxiliary Power Station plant.
As shift charge engineer, he was responsible for plan operator training which included HV switching, Synchronizing, GT operations, Fire systems, and emergency procedures. His most recent full time Power Plant experience was supervising site and contract staff on OCGT and OCGT routine maintenance and major refurbishment.
This included a liquid fuel system upgrade and GT control system replacement. On completion of this work, he carried out all the mechanical, electrical, operational and Grid compliance testing, resulting in the plant returning to service ahead of schedule.
