The Banks Foundation Tees Off The Triangle Golf Challenge in Support of Triangle Charities
The Banks Foundation will host its tenth annual charity golf tournament, The Triangle Golf Challenge, in support of Triangle charities on June 14, 2013 at UNC Finley Golf Course.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) May 07, 2013 - The Banks Foundation, a tax-exempt organization that assists families who are moving from welfare to work and from public housing to private home ownership, has announced their tenth annual charity golf tournament is now "The Triangle Golf Challenge" in Support of Triangle Charities. The tournament will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, NC. Amateur golfers of all skill levels are invited to compete in a two-person scramble format.
The events will kick off Thursday evening, June 13, with a reception and silent auction held at Brier Creek Country Club. Guests of the events will have the chance to mix and mingle with celebrity guests participating in the tournament. Previous years celebrity attendees included Walter Davis, Jerry Stackhouse, James Worthy, Phil Ford and Rod Broadway.
Proceeds from the events will benefit The Banks Foundation and Communities In Schools of Durham.
