The Asian Prom: Dances of Asia in Visual Art; Artworks by 6 International Artists
This exhibition will feature elucidating paintings depicting various dance forms of Asia, by 6 accomplished artists who hail from France, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India.
- (1888PressRelease) July 22, 2012 - No doubt, dance is indeed the ruling concept of the exhibition. However, how abstract or how photo-realistic or how symbolic the portrayal in each painting is going to be, is absolutely up to the individual artist. To capture the feel of unpredictable movement, the intensity of emotion or the culture-specific principle of a dance form on canvas, is magical indeed.
