The "Anti-Trap Rap" Emcee Has Landed On Planet Hip-Hop
The boiling hot wordsmith Munchini's solo debut album "Be Water" is now available on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, CD Baby, and other online retailers.
- (1888PressRelease) January 18, 2013 - "Be Water" is the solo independent debut album from Munchini (pronounced Mun-chee-nee) of the underground hip-hop group Seven Seaz. The album, released in November , features production from Main Event West (Meek Mill, Beanie Sigel, Rick Ross), Black Light Music (Saigon, Donny Goines), Grind Theory (Monte Carlo), and others including Munchini himself.
Formerly known mostly as a fierce battle and conscious emcee under the name JB da Risin' Sun, Munchini has evolved into a multifaceted artist. After dealing with the deaths of several friends and family members as well as an illness that left him temporarily paralyzed and almost dead, Munchini used his pen and pad as therapy. Whether getting a party started with "Lights Out," comically chasing his R&B dreams on the interlude "Don't Take It Away," vividly painting pictures of people seeking God's salvation on "Heaven," or passionately inspiring the discouraged while declaring victory on his first single "Through the Storm," Munchini displays versatility and the lyrical ability to tap into the various emotions of his audience. Munchini's roots in North Carolina mixed with his residence in Atlanta since 2004 make for a great combination of artistry on "Be Water."
This album is Munchini's way of living out Bruce Lee's famous philosophy of metaphorically being water, the most essential source of life. He is currently in the process of booking shows and tour dates as well as producing songs for several artists who may join him on stage at his performances. This album from the former Mic Club Emcee Battle champ is a must-have and is available at several online retailers including iTunes, CD Baby, Google Play, Amazon, and his official site www.munchiniworld.com.
